A social enterprise
British service personnel
At BackOutThere we want to give people from all walks of life the opportunity to work on a variety of projects developing confidence and skills.
Established by a team of British Service personnel we aim to provide people the opportunity to serve within their local community creating comradeship, achievement and purpose.
We work on community based projects which have included transforming unloved spaces into gardens and improving open spaces.
Our long term goal is for our volunteers to gain the skills, confidence and renew the sense of comradeship they had during their time of service.
The BackOutThere ethos:
BackOutThere is about exploring the world, meeting new people, and includes physical, spiritual and emotional exploration. The rewards are friendships, memories and experiences that enhance life.
BackOutThere believes in doing the right thing; moral courage and the confidence to step into the unknown and make a difference to the world around us, regardless of ability or experience.
Invigorating the positive nature of global bonds and brotherhood to inspire friendships and connections that instill a sense of confidence.
BackOutThere wants to demonstrate positive achievement through adversity and make people aware of life’s possibilities.
BackOutThere believes in putting heart and soul into life, to make it count: be passionate and enthuse others.
BackOutThere will encourage people to have faith in themselves and believe in something wider, be that communities, ideas, or other people.
